The problem is that she now sits up all the time and is crawling. So the poop has no place to go but up the back. It doesn't matter how tight I tie the diaper. I considered moving her up in diaper size but she is too small for the weight range of the next size. I have been relegated to many sniff tests throughout the day. Usually there is a pattern to her pooping but she manages to sneak a few in during the day that I've missed. The best was Saturday when I had to give her a bath because poop ended up all the way to her shoulders. Fun times.
I know many parents stress because their children don't poop that often. I have the opposite problem. Cameron is pooping 4-5 times a day. I don't think anything is wrong with her. Far from it. But at this rate I will run out of unstained onesies! Not to mention the amount of laundry I've had to do. So, has anyone else conquered this problem? And my apologies for anyone who is offended for this post about poop. What can I say? I'm a mom!

Awesome, I can say I don't envy you on this one.
It's because she's teething. Put her up in the next size anyway - it should help. And are you using Pampers? I find them better than other brands for holding that poop in!
Agree with Mommy Eqs, move her up a size anyway. And we use Nature's Miracle on poop stains BEFORE you wash. It is a pet stain remover available at pet stores. Has never failed to get out any human stains (good to know for potty training!). If the stain is already set in, Shout has an advanced gel in a blue bottle that is specifically for set-in stains. Pre-treat and soak before washing.
this happened when madi really started crawling. she was pooing 4 or 5 times a day all up her back! I did go to a size 3 and they seemed big, but NO leaking or blowouts!
Ya, Im with laura and Mommy Esq - move her up a size. They'll still fit there is juts more room for poop.
I also vote for move her up a size.
Well my advice is going to be awe inspiring.....move her up in size!!! Wow! now that was unique. But seriously, size doesn't count in this case, only the amount of poop up the back.
